Praying Scripture over Loneliness
Praying Scripture over Loneliness: Loneliness isn’t always about being alone. It is very easy to feel loneliness in a crowd. Sometimes you feel unseen even though there are a lot of people around you..

Topic: Loneliness — When You Feel Disconnected
A woman told me she had been surrounded by people all week. Even so, she felt deeply alone. It was as though she felt disconnected from everyone else. She was struggling with a deep sense of loneliness.
Emotions
She felt isolated.
Misunderstood.
Emotionally distant.
Seek God’s Word
She remembered a verse she had learned as a child:
The Lord is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit. Psalm 34:18
She prayed and ask the Lord to draw near to her during this feeling of loneliness.
Personal Application
If you’ve been feeling alone, remember that God is close to you. Perhaps even closer than you think.
Journal
Where have you felt lonely lately? How can you invite God into that space?
Praying Scripture over Loneliness
Invite God into your space. Pray over His words today. Allow God’s Word to speak truth over your feeling of loneliness and assure you of His presence.
Pray
Psalm 34:18 (or choose another one on your own) back to the Lord. Ask Him to assure you of His presence and to help you get over this feeling of loneliness. Use your own words and speak directly to the Lord.
Reflection
Later in the week, take a few minutes to reflect on how God has moved in the situation or in your heart? How has He answered your prayer?
P.S. If you found another verse to pray for this topic, please share it in the comments for others to consider for their Praying Scriptures Journal also.
