Praying Scripture over Discouragement
Praying Scripture over Discouragement: Discouragement often comes in waves — small disappointments that pile up, one after another, until your heart feels heavy.

Topic: Discouragement — When You Feel Like You’re Not Enough
A woman shared that she had been trying so hard — at work, at home, in her spiritual life — but everything felt like “not enough.”
She compared herself to others and always came up short in her own mind.
Emotions
She felt tired.
She felt defeated.
She felt ashamed of her own limitations.
Seek God’s Word
One morning, while reading her Bible, she came across a verse she had read many times before but suddenly needed in a new way:
“My flesh and my heart faileth: but God is the strength of my heart, and my portion for ever.” Psalm 73:26
Her strength wasn’t the point.
His was.
Personal Application
If discouragement has been whispering that you’re not enough, let Scripture remind you that God never asked you to be.
Journal
Where have you been feeling “not enough”?
Praying Scripture Over Discouragement
Allow God’s Word to speak truth over the discouragement that you are feeling.
Pray Psalm 73:26 (or choose another one on your own) back to the Lord. Ask Him to help you to not feel unappreciated and to comfort your heart. Use your own words and speak directly to your Heavenly Father about your worries.
Reflection
Later in the week, take a few minutes to reflect on how God has moved in the situation or in your heart? How has He answered your prayer?
P.S. If you found another verse to pray for this topic, please share it in the comments for others to consider for their Praying Scriptures Journal also.
