Praying Scripture over Feeling Overlooked
Praying Scripture over Feeling Overlooked: Sometimes the deepest hurts come from feeling unseen — not ignored intentionally, but simply unnoticed in the busyness of life.

Topic: Feeling Overlooked — When Your Efforts Go Unnoticed
A woman told me she had spent the entire day serving her family — cooking, cleaning, organizing, helping with homework. She wasn’t looking for applause, but she hoped someone would notice.
No one did.
That evening, as she folded laundry alone, she felt a quiet ache rise in her chest.
Emotions
She felt invisible.
Unappreciated.
Taken for granted.
She wondered if what she did even mattered.
Seek God’s Word
As she sat on the edge of her bed, she remembered the story of Hagar — a woman who felt unseen until God met her in the wilderness.
“And she called the name of the LORD that spake unto her, Thou God seest me…” (Genesis 16:13a)
She whispered it aloud, letting the truth settle into the places where loneliness had taken root.
Personal Application
If you’ve been feeling unseen, remember this: God notices every quiet act of love. He sees what others overlook.
Journal
Where have you felt unnoticed lately?
Praying Scripture Over Feeling Overlooked
Allow God’s Word to speak truth over the feeling that has overcome you. Allow Him to give you comfort.
Pray Genesis 16:3 (or choose another one on your own) back to the Lord. Ask Him to help you to not feel unappreciated and to comfort your heart. Use your own words and speak directly to your Heavenly Father about your feelings.
Reflection
Later in the week, take a few minutes to reflect on how God has moved in the situation or in your heart? How has He answered your prayer?
P.S. If you found another verse to pray for this topic, please share it in the comments for others to consider for their Praying Scriptures Journal also.
